We've all seen them; the supermodels, the have-alls, the wanna-bes, and even the everyday skinny-minis. What do they all have in common? They help contribute to this society's stupid rule on how women should look. In the world today, every girl or woman for that matter has to be a size 2 to be accepted. I know that feeling all too well, and I know there are a million girls out there who feel it too.
I'll let you in on a little secret from a heavy girl. People like that are idiots. You have so much to offer the world. If the people you are with have this idiot mentality, then you don't need them. Become your own true self and never look back. Be creative. I know that's easy for me to say. Actually, right now I'm with you. I have a weight problem and I'm not crazy about myself. But I know there's hope. I've started Weight Watcher's (give em a little plug) and I am losing weight slowly. Things take time. Don't get discouraged. You think I am nothing like you, but I've been there girlfriend. Up through high school I was a skinny-mini. But one day I was put on a medication and it seemed that I just blew up over night. I've been battling with my weight for 11 years now. And of course over-eating has added to that. I feel like I should change the way I look just so I match everyone else. But I need to be unique and so do you. What do you think???
Way to go Jen! I am so proud of you for sharing about yourself. I look forward to learning more about your walk through life and specifically this topic. This is an area I personally need help with. I would strongly encourage you to add photos of yourself throughout your process of writing this blog. It will really bring life to your words. God bless you, my sweet sister. I love you too pieces ~ Sydni
